One of the mighty weapons in the arsenal of the Troglodytes is the race called Shadow Trolls; creatures thrown into the solid world during the catastrophic formation of the Plane of Darkness.
Being wraithlike, insubstantial entities, they possess tenebrous talents and shadowy magic, with the ability to materialize and dematerialize almost at will. Longshadows are the epitome of Shadow Trolls, spawned from an equal blend of the shadows cast by each of the cardinal elements.
To interact with other races they clothe themselves in dark rags and rusty armor, furnishing them an outward semblance of a physical form.
Unlike their more brutish cousins, Shadow Trolls are enigmatic and devious creatures with a cold calculating detachment. Their sinister, ethereal nature and cold personalities render them alien and disturbing to most other races.
On the battlefield they are ideal for demolishing enemy models with high armor due to their ability to bypass the armor, making direct damage.
