I had thought that I had seen most everything in my travels through the accursed lands, and that little could shock or amaze my jaded and cynical soul. Then along came G�tz Von Berlichingen. This illustrious representative of chivalry was a sincere believer and respectable soldier. I have yet to hear a good reason why such a man would end up below with the rest of us sinners and reprobates. As we all know, the lord moves in mysterious ways and no one can really know what�s in a man�s heart, other than himself. So, there is little reason to conjecture wildly on what earthly vice entrapped Reichsritter Berlichingen.
