US Navy & USMC Aircraft Colors 1945-1980 SET 3G Product Description
A set of 3rd Generation acrylic paints including the three standard camouflage colors that are indispensable for painting models of US Navy and Marine Corps aircraft used from the end of World War II until the beginning of the 1980s.
Deep Sea Blue was the standard overall color until the mid-1950s when the Navy adopted a two-color scheme of Light Gull Grey and Insignia White. From 1977, carrier-based fighters such as the F-14 Tomcat and F-4 Phantom II were repainted into Light Gull Grey single color finish.
