The Modeler\'s Punch is a useful and popular tool as it allows you to easily and precisely punch holes in materials such as masking tape, or even plastic board up to 0.5mm thick. the punch can be used when 2mm/3mm holes are needed to be made in thin plastics or acrylic model parts. These holes might be needed for a thread hole for chains to go through or to slot parts together or to make a starting hole in a solid plastic sheet to allow access for a saw or cutting tool.
