This is our recommended Studio scale A-Wing Fighter set
Having spent many hours studying and painting A-Wings we think this set will get you the best ILM look and most authentic colour scheme
This set features our unique Base formula 1975 Reefer white. This gives a better coverage when base coating compared with regular whites from other brands.
The D&H Caboose red we believe is the perfect Red for the A-wing but takes some control, applied very thinly over the Reefer white you don't want to build up too much colour, keep it thin and pinkish, once misted with the SP lettering grey or other of the blue ash greys in the set you get the beautiful Maroon looking Hue of the original IL Models.
If misting isn't your think, you can mix a small amount of one of the greys into the red to maroon it before you apply, we recommend SP lettering grey or ILM Armour Grey for this.
Like most of the Star Wars ILM Models there is a cross over from model to model with many of the colours so always check that you don't already have some of what you need. All of our sets are comprised of smaller sets for the first time that can be bought separately.
