Army Building:
We will be following the rules from page 31 of the Matched Play Guide, with a limit of 700 points per player.
Players can bring both a Good and Evil army if they wish, but they are not required to. If they do so, they will use the opposite army to the opposing player in each game. If both teams have brought both Good and Evil, then a roll-off will determine which army is used by each team. In this way, you can ensure you play Good vs Evil if that is your preference.
We will be playing 3 rounds at 2 hours per round. We will follow all the rules from pages 4-6 of the Matched Play Guide. Missions will be rolled randomly from the pools on page 9 of the Matched Play Guid. No pool will be used more than once in the event.
The rules for Major and Minor Victories from page 44 and the Secret Objectives from pages 45-47 of the Matched Play Guide will be in use during this event. Secret Objective Cards will be provided for use during the event.
Registration:
Please bring a copy of your army list(s) with you on the day.
Prize Support:
Prizes will be in the form of Element Games Vouchers for the top 4 players and for the best painted army (a vote will be held to determine this). Assuming we fill all 32 spaces, prize breakdown will look like this:
First place £50 voucher
Second place £40 voucher
Third place £30 voucher
Fourth place £20 voucher
Best Painted £20 voucher
Food and Drink:
Snacks and drinks are available from the on-site bar. External food is permitted during the lunch
break. We recommend that you bring your own lunch but there are local shops and food venues
within a short walking distance of the venue. We ask that you do not bring any external drinks in to the venue and rather that you support the venue by purchasing all drinks at the bar.
Travel and Parking:
Free parking is available in the venue car park and in the local authority car park next door to the venue. There are good public transport links within the area. Davenport Train Station is the nearest train link within a 5 minute walk of the venue. Stockport train station and Stockport bus station are 15 minute walks from the venue with good bus and taxi routes available. If catching a bus from Stockport bus station we recommend catching the Stagecoach 192 bus up to Nangreave Road/ Aquinas College/ Bamford Arms. If travelling from further afield and wishing to stay overnight there are lots of hotels within 5 minutes of the venue including a Premier Inn across the road behind the Bamford Arms.
