The initial design of the Britannian Corvette was that of a short range scoutingvessel. After earning its stripes in a number of sorties and rescue missions the build profile of the vessel was upgraded to accommodate a fore turret and improved armour surrounding the magazine, which is positioned directly below the gun itself. Some distinct features remain however, such as the starboard searchlight and streamlined cabin.
