Fast by Dwarven standards the Mortis is, with its turreted 360 degree arc of fire, a small vessel that should be treated with respect - or face the consequences. A Squadron of 4 can link fire for 11 AD in Range Band 1 and this is plenty enough to harm a Cruiser, and even taunt the odd Battleship!
