Sith Taker Open 2023 Feb 25-26

The Sith Taker Open is a Premier Level 2 day x-wing event held on 25-26 Feb attracting some of the best pilots in Europe.

The event format is Standard and will align to the AMG 2.5 rule set with objective play.

Tickets - £30 including lunch on Day 1

First round will start by 9:45


Final round aims to finish 19:00

Cut play-in (if required) 9:00

EVENT FORMAT:

Day 1 will be a swiss tournament, with day 2 being the top cut single elimination to decide the champion. We will align the exact format of the swiss event to that used by AMG at OP events.

Each round will be played over 75mins (1hr 15mins) with the tournament random timer adjustment of +/- 3 mins per round.

There will be an organised side event for day 2 for players who do not make the cut (details TBC)

REGISTRATION:

You will automatically register for the event when you buy a ticket. Due to the recent announcement that TTT will close, we are currently looking at alternate solutions for managing game and list registration.

PRIZE SUPPORT:

As with previous years, we will be providing an awesome prize for first place and there will be a mixture of alt-arts, game tokens and other components as prizes with all players guaranteed to leave with something.

FOOD & DRINK:
Snacks and drinks are available from the fully licensed and stocked on-site bar. External food is permitted, and there are several food takeaways within a short walking distance of the venue. You can also arrange to have food delivered to the gaming centre.

We ask that you DO NOT BRING ANY EXTERNAL DRINKS into the venue, and rather that you support the venue by purchasing all drinks at the bar.

TRAVEL & PARKING:
FREE PARKING is available in the venue car park and in the local authority car park next door to the venue. There are good public transport links within the area. Davenport Train Station is the nearest train link within a 5-minute walk of the venue. Stockport train station and Stockport bus station are a 15-minute walk from the venue, with good bus and taxi options available. If catching a bus from Stockport bus station, we recommend catching the Stagecoach 192 bus up to Nangreave Road/ Aquinas College/ Bamford Arms. If travelling from further afield and wishing to stay overnight there are lots of hotels within 5 minutes of the venue including a Premier Inn across the road behind the Bamford Arms.
