Monday MESBG Mania #14: CHAOS DOUBLES
Monday 26th Jan 6:30pm
3 x 70min rounds
Doubles format
200pt good or evil force
Miniature 3'x 3'boards
Scenarios taken from the doubles scenarios in the Matched Play Guide
This is a spin on the doubles format – instead of pairing up for the night, you will be randomly allocated a new partner for each round! Winners will be individually determined by total number of TPs scored for W/L/D, with VPs scored as tiebreaker.
Your combined forced will act as one army, with army bonuses only applying to your own army, keyword restrictions in place, but other effects (heroic actions, banners, stand fasts etc) able to affect either force.
Any matched play-legal 200pt force is OK to be used. There are no painting requirements - bare plastic is fine but WYSIWYG is requested. Please get in touch with me at
[email protected] if you need to check any aspects of your army's eligibility.
Scenarios will be taken from the doubles section of the Matched Play Guide and adapted for 3’x3’ boards, but don't worry if you don't have a copy of this – there will be plenty of copies around on the night.
Rounds will be 70 minutes, and to fit everything in we will be kicking off with registration from 6:30pm. To finish rounds promptly, we will call ‘no new turns’ 5 minutes before the end of the round, with a strict dice down when time is called.
Schedule:
6:30 arrival & registration
6:55 round 1 pairing
7:00-8:10 game 1
8:15-9:25 game 2
9:30-10:40 game 3
10:40 Prizes and handshakes
The ticket price is made up of your regular table fees (£4.50 - no need to sub in on the night) and a £2.50 contribution to prize support, all of which will go back into these events.
NWGC MEMBERS just pay £2.50 prize support on the night, payable at the bar. Please email us at
[email protected] to get registered onto the event in advance.
After purchasing a ticket, please
CLICK HERE to sign up to the event on Longshanks as soon as possible.
Please sign up before the day of the event to avoid any delays. List submissions are not required, but please consider bringing a list printout if you think it's needed!
Tickets can be purchased on the night at the bar if required.
In the event that we do not have the numbers to give everybody a doubles game each round, 2 participants may be paired up for a regular 1v1 match, which will still use the doubles scenarios rules. We will endeavour to ensure this does not happen for more than one round per person.
Registration cut off is at 6:55. Byes may be used in case of odd numbers. Late attendees will be given a forced draw for game 1, but will be dropped if you can’t make it in time for game 2. If you’re unable to attend on the night, please the TO (Dan Stuart) know as soon as possible!
REFUND CUT-OFF DATE:- Monday 19th January
