Casual Monday MESBG Tournament!
Monday MESBG Mania #1:
Spooky SBG Speed Dating
Monday 28th October 6:30pm onwards
4 rounds
45mins per round with a 10min break between rounds
250pt good or evil force
Miniature 3'x3'boards
Basic scenarios adapted from the matched play guide to get in to the action quickly!
This is a super-casual event aimed at mixing our newer players, so bring that stupid non-competitive list idea that you’ve been sat on for a while! Overall prize support is dependent on attendance, but as we're approaching Halloween, there will be a TO-picked award for the spookiest list in attendance.
Any tournament-legal 250pt force is OK to be used. There are no painting requirements - bare plastic is fine but WYSIWYG is requested. Please get in touch with the event organisers if you need to check any aspects of your army's eligibility.
Scenarios will be taken from the Matched Play Guide and adapted for smaller boards, but don't worry if you don't have a copy of this.
Rounds will be 45 minutes, and to fit everything in we will be kicking off with registration from 6:30pm and will be using a dice down policy when time is called.
Schedule:
6:30 arrival, briefing and pairings
7:00-7:45 game 1
7:55-8:40 game 2
8:50-9:35 game 3
9:45-10:30 game 4
10:40 Prizes and handshakes
As space in the hall is limited on weeknights, we’ll be capped at 32 players for this first event, which will be first come first served. The ticket price is made up of your regular table fees (£4.50 - no need to sub in on the night) and a contribution to prize support, all of which will go back into these events.
NWGC MEMBERS just pay £2.50 on the night. Please email us at
[email protected] to get registered onto the event in advance.
After purchasing a ticket, please sign up to the event on Longshanks as soon as possible at the following link: https://www.longshanks.org/event/15911/. Please sign up before the day of the event to avoid any delays. List submissions are not required, but please consider bringing a list printout if you think it's needed!
Tickets can be purchased on the night at the bar, but buying ahead of time is preferable to allow us to kick off promptly and to allow better prize support.
If for whatever reason you can’t make it or end up running late, please let me know as far in advance as possible. If you are late to the first round you will be given a bye, but will be dropped if you cannot make game 2.
We will be looking to run these events monthly if the demand is there, so please let us know your thoughts on the format and what you'd like to see going forward.
