Announcing Warhammer ESCALATION 2013 (you can tell its going to be epic because the title is all in capitals)
ESCALATION is a 2500 point, no comp, 1 day tournament being held at the North West Gaming Centre on Sunday 27th October. It will be a 3 game event.
Why 2500 points? -I've had a few games at this level and like the extra options it opens up for some of the armies considered weaker in the current meta game
-A number of people approached me at Out of the Box (2400 points) and requested an event which was a little bigger points wise
-Its always fun to bring a few more toys now and then
Why no comp?-no need to get into the comp/no comp debate here, I like both, but prefer no comp. I honestly don't think the game needs comp to work so prefer to run events without it
Where's the tournament pack?-jeez, give me a minute will you! 1st draft pack should be available by the end of this week. Broadly speaking, you can expect to see the following points
__2500 points, no comp, any WFB army book plus Tamurkhan Chaos Dwarfs are legal
__Painted models only
__no painting points, only tournament points (and appropriate tie breakers) will be used to determine placing
__Loads of hobby awards separate from gaming awards to reward nicely painted armies
