Although similar to the F-86A Sabre, the Sabre Dog was nearly a completely new beast. It was longer than the original and carried both an advanced flight control system and sophisticated radar for night interceptions. Additionally, it carried a new armament of 24 fin-stabilized rockets. Despite the inherent inaccuracy of these weapons, it was thought that even a single hit from the rockets was far more damaging than any likely number of hits from .50 caliber weapons. Kit features retractable rocket tray, detailed cockpit, pilot figure, and decals for two versions.
