Dead of Winter Product Description
Dead of Winter is volume V of the great Battles of the American Civil War series that simulate great Civil War battles at regimental level using a chit-draw system to portray the randomness of 19th Century combat.
Stones River (or Murfreesboro) was fought in late 1862 for control of central Tennessee. Though initially surprised, the Union army resisted the furious Confederate onslaught and ended the battle holding the field. Both armies would fight again eight months later at Chickamauga.
This game contains one introductory and ten regular scenarios ranging from half map scenarios requiring only a couple of hours to the full battle scenario using all four maps and requiring several hours to finish.
