Mississippi Queen Product Description

Every year, there is a famous boat race along the winding course of the Mississippi River. To earn the prize, a captain must ably maneuver through the curvy river to pick up passengers gussied up in crinoline, but also be the fastest to steer between the other boats, numerous islets, and various other hazards of navigation. Are you up to the challenge? If so, and you manage to win this prestigious race, you will be honored for an entire year by being named commander of the most celebrated of these famous paddlewheelers: the Mississippi Queen.

In Mississippi Queen, 2 to 6 players race their paddlewheelers across the Mississippi. Goal is to finish first and pick up two passengers along the way. But that is easier said than done, because players have to carefully manage their speed and coal supply, as well as other players and obstacles in the water.

Mississippi Queen has been originally published in 1997 and won the prestigious ‘Spiel des Jahres’ award in that year. Keep Exploring Games now publishes the new deluxe edition in English, Dutch and German. The original expansion, ‘The Black Rose’ that give a twist to the game is also included in this edition!
