We have Two Thin Coats paints up for grabs for Best Painted Army, and the winner of the tournament will have their name eternally enshrined upon our (now famous) Element Legends Roll of Honour Board in the Gaming Centre!
Your TO will be Shanto who, as some of you will know, is an Element Legend in his own very special way, and is also an experienced 40k player and TO, and is part of Team Stonehammer, who run several events here each year, and also our regular Thursday night 40k Club Night.
Shanto will be available before and during the event to answer any questions you have, and to give rules clarifications and judge rulings during the event if necessary.

FAQ
Q: Can I run a unit with weapons of my choice, even if the model is built with other weapons?
A: Officially, the event is WYSIWYG, but we aren't doing formal inspections. However, if you're proxying and your opponent takes issue, we will have to rule with them and deduct the battle ready bonus from you.
In other words, yes you can, but there's a risk that some opponents may take issue to this, which is fair enough, and you'd then be deducted the battle ready bonus points.
We're using Leviathan missions, and an app called Tabletop Battles which will allow us to randomise Secondary Objectives which will be generated at the beginning of each turn.
You will need:
A physical or official digital copy of the Warhammer 40,000 Core Ruleset.
Something to note down your victory points and any other in game upkeep.
All books and supplements associated with your army and any models you intend on bringing to this event. You’ll need physical or official digital copies for your army's core rules.
All tools necessary to play a game of Warhammer 40000, i.e. dice, tape measure etc.
A digital or physical copy of your army list, try to make this as detailed and accurate as possible.
The Best Coast Pairings (BCP) app will be in use by Shanto and all attendees so please have this downloaded and registered on your phone for use on the day.
The final deadline for army list submission for this event will be Sunday the 20th of August. If you are unable to submit your army list via Best Coast Pairings before midnight on this date, there will be a penalty incurred to your first, second and third games scores of -5 victory points.
The New Rule Cut-Off: Saturday the 12th of August.
Any official rules released prior to or on this date will be valid for use at the event. Any rules released after this date will be discounted for use in the event unless authorised by Shanto.
