Elements of Sigmar - Winter

This event is going to use the Matched Play rules from the General�s Handbook.
It�s going to be a series of 3 rounds over the course of 1 day. The games will be �Battlehost� � 2000pts and 2.5hrs long.

EVENT FORMAT
We will be playing 3 rounds during the day.
First round will be random pairings with Round 2 and 3 being Swiss.
The event will be playing at the Battlehost level for 2.5 hour long games

ARMY SELECTION
Army Lists are to be selected to a maximum of 2,000 points. You can select units with up to date matched play profiles from the General�s Handbook 2018,Compendiums,Battletomes, Forgeworld as well as Endless Spells from Malign Sorcery/Battletomes. Every Player will be expected to use the most recent version of any Warscroll in the case of duplicates.
As well as selecting artifacts from your Battletome (or Grand alliance), you can also state your army is from one of the Realms as per page 79 of Malign Sorcery. This will allow you to select Artefacts of the Realms for your army as described there.
Lists are to be submitted on the day to myself (physical copy). You will also need a second copy (either physical or digital) to show your opponents. Before Game One, please exchange army lists with your opponent and spend a couple of minutes checking for errors � I will ask players to confirm they have done this when giving in scores after the first round.
Allegiance, Realm, General, Command Traits, Artifacts, Battletome specific spells etc are all to be picked on your army list and should not change over the course of the event.

REALMS OF BATTLE
The rules found on page 254 of the Core rulebook for Realmsphere Magic, Realm Commands and Realmscape Features won't be used.

THE BATTLEPLANS
The 3 games will be played using Battleplans from both the Core Book and the General�s Handbook 2018(as per the tables on pg49 of the General�s Handbook 2018).You should therefore try to make yourself familiar with the 18 Matched Play Battleplans as you could be playing any of them � old or new!
The three Battleplans being used over the day will be announced in the week leading up to the event so players can familiarize themselves with the rules and objectives.

WORKING OUT WHO HAS WON
Each Battleplan will tell you how to determine the winner for each game. Your result will earn you an amount of Tournament points based in the result.
There are 30 Tournament Points (TPs) available . Each game has 10TPs up for grabs and will be awarded in the following manner;
� Major Victory � 10
� Minor Victory � 8
� Draw � 5
� Minor Loss � 2
� Major Loss � 0
Most Major Victories will be the first tie-break with Strength of Schedule as the second tie-break (the combined score of your three opponents)

There is no painting requirement for this event as it�s partly a practice/warm-up event.

2 hours 30 mins per round with a 30 minute lunch break and a 15 minute break between rounds 2 and 3.

This event will be run fairly basic due to the short notice and practice theme of the event. There will however be a few prizes to award at the end of the day!

OTHER INFORMATION
Food: Snacks and drinks will be available on site. Lunch is not provided, there are local shops and Takeaways within walking/driving distance if you want to bring something in.
Drinks: The venue has a fully licenced Bar serving hot & cold drinks, soft and alcoholic. As we are a licenced venue no outside drinks may be brought in to the venue and any players bringing drinks in will be asked to take them outside.
Parking: FREE PARKING all day outside in the venues shared/private car par and next door in the 46 space Council run car park.
Public transport: Davenport train station is the closest at a 10-15 minute walk but the main Stockport Station is also only 20-25 minute walk (and you'll find more frequent trains). You can get the bus from Stockport Station for less than �2.00 each way. And the Bus stops at the end of our road - opposite Premier Inn and is a 2 minute walk.
