The mighty sorcerer Satanor watched the Imp before him in amusement. He could not believe what he had just said to him and, nonetheless, it was really funny.
“What did you say?” he asked even though he had heard it perfectly. He just wanted the other to repeat it.
“I want to be your apprentice in order to be able to kill you some day,” the small one repeated.
“Aha. And what for?”
“Because I´m going to be the Packs of Urueh’s next leader,” the shameless creature replied.
“Of course,” Satanor could hardly help laughing.
“I know magic, but I don´t want to join a pack of summoners,” the imp explained as he shaped a flame as big as his head on his palm. “I wish to learn.”
“To kill me,” the sorcerer reminded him.
“Yes”
“We will do this,” Satanor proposed. “I will teach you and take care of your training personally. When you are ready, we will fight. And I will kill you. Do you agree?”
“Yes, but it is I who will kill you.”
The sorcerer started to laugh, more than satisfied. He had just found a brand new game which he would doubtlessly win. But meanwhile, he would have fun with the scrawny, insolent imp. And, who could tell? Maybe he would become a more skilful sorcerer than himself and, in that case, he could be his successor some day for the greater glory of Kazag. In any case, the god of incineration would be proud of Satanor the Volcano.
