The English Championships 2018

What Is The English Championships?
TEC2018 is a 60 player Ninth Age event to be held at Element Games North West Gaming Centre on April 13th, 14th and 15th 2018.
First and foremost TEC is an open to the public tournament with all welcome and encouraged to attend.
Back by popular demand, this is the second time we have ran the TEC, and our goal is to maintain the high standards we have!
Date
TEC2018 will take place on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of April.
Part of the key spirit of the TEC is the social aspect, and this is something we wanted to bring to the event, therefore the venue will also be open and available on Friday the 13th of April. This is for pick up games, practice and generally for a relaxed evening before the mayhem truly starts.

The entry fee is �38 per player, and the event is only refundable up until two weeks before the event (30th of March)
We, as the organisers, retain the right to refuse entry to any individual at our own discretion.

Food
Your ticket entry includes lunch on both days. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know ASAP.
There are also plenty of local takeaways and restaurants for your Friday and Saturday night meals.
Bar
The venue contains its own licensed bar, and therefore we would be grateful if
a) You didn�t bring your own alcohol
b) You bear in mind the local community and neighbours especially upon exiting the venue.

4pm to 6.30pm � Game 3
Sunday 15th
9.30am to 10am� Arrival

12.30pm to 1.30pm � Lunch
1.30pm to 4pm � Game 5
4pm Onwards � Awards
The scenarios and deployments to be used will be announced on the day.
What version?
Hopefully all will be settled come April, however as we can�t see what the future holds it makes sense to put some guidelines in place.
We will be using the most up to date version of the ruleset available via The Ninth Age website on the 23rd of March. Any version released after this date will not be used.
The organisers will announce any other changes to the rules pack required to fall in line with any version changes if needed.

Gaming
There are 5 games, each worth a maximum of 20 tournament points. Therefore a player may score 100tps total.
Realignments of a unit are allowed, as long as they have not been affected in any meaningful way by later dice rolls (e.g. could be march/reform checks), and the original position can be determined in a satisfactory manner. If in doubt (disagreement) about whether or not this applies, ask a referee.
All referee rulings are final. Continued arguing will result in a points deduction.
